Privacy and Analytics

This page covers the Maabarium documentation website at docs.maabarium.com. It does not describe telemetry or data handling inside self-hosted Maabarium workflows, local model runtimes, or repositories you operate yourself.

The docs site is usable without analytics consent. Navigation, search, documentation content, and normal page rendering work without enabling Google Analytics 4.

By default, analytics storage starts in the denied state. The site only loads Google Analytics 4 after you explicitly accept analytics in the consent banner.

The docs site stores your analytics preference in a first-party cookie named maabarium_analytics_consent.

  • granted means analytics can load for this site.
  • denied means analytics remains off.

You can revisit your choice at any time from the footer using Cookie preferences.

If you opt in, the docs site can send aggregated usage signals such as page views, approximate device context, and high-level engagement events to Google Analytics 4.

The published docs configuration uses the measurement ID G-9V9Y1FEJL8 by default unless the GitHub Actions build provides PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID as a repository variable.

Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy policy. Review Google’s privacy documentation at policies.google.com/privacy.

If consent is granted, analytics helps the project understand which pages are most useful, where setup guidance is unclear, and which documentation paths need the most attention.

This docs site links to GitHub releases, source files, and other external services. When you follow those links, those destinations apply their own privacy and security policies.

Material changes to docs-site privacy or analytics behaviour should be reflected on this page as part of the same change set.
